Decorating a Pumpkin

Carter has his first Kindergarten project this week!  He has to decorate a pumpkin!  (thankfully it's on paper
because I hate pumpkin guts!)

He sat down last night to work on it and I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of him working hard!

First, he wanted to put some black glitter on the vine part at the top (don't ask why not green, I don't know how the boy's mind works).

As is traditional, Carter worked on painting the pumpkin a nice shade of orange.  Ironically, the shade was called "Eat Your Carrots".  Cute, huh?

I'll be sure to show you the finished product when we have it completed.  He has pulled out black pom-poms, orange glitter, and some twine for this project.  Oh mercy.

  3. What a fun pumpkin project. I saw one I want to try with Allie in the morning. It's letting the kids paint a mason jar with orange paint after you've taped off the jack-o-lantern eyes and mouth. Once the paint is dry, and you pull the tape off then you put a votive candle in the mason jar and it really looks like a jack-o-lantern. I don't know if that's something your boys would like, but Allie is big time excited :) Of course she's 3 and every little thing excites her!
