The Happiest Place on Earth

I am well aware that my darling brother would completely disagree with me on this. Actually, I am well aware that some of you will completely disagree with me on this. But...... it's my blog and I'll do what I want to, do what I want to (sing to the tune of It's My Party)....ha-ha.

The hubby and I, along with the boys snuck (is snuck a word?) off to one of our favorite places (i.e. The Happiest Place on Earth) a few weekends ago. We knew it would be our last "hoorah" as a family before baseball, t-ball, planting season, etc.

You know the story by now....because we're passholders, we get great deals on Disney rooms. Our location of choice for this trip was the Port Orleans Riverside.
The boys had special treats waiting for them in the room when we arrived.....they received an autographed picture of the "classic" Disney characters! It was too cute and you'd have thought they got the moon on a silver platter!
Nolan, bless his heart (I'd say sweet heart, but we've had some behavioral problems with him lately, so it's not sweet right now--we've had a LOT of character development lately; um..that would be spankings). Anyhow--Nolan, bless his heart, was sick and we didn't know it. He had complained that he didn't feel good that afternoon and of course, the hubby and I were like "you're fine...come on"...and little did we know we'd be up many hours that night with a little boy that had STREP THROAT. Go ahead and blame that one on me. I'd had strep throat that week, but had been on antibiotics and his didn't develop until that Friday night. We dosed him up good with Motrin though, and he had a great time, despite not feeling well.
Friday, we headed into the Magic Kingdom for a few hours of fun

Then on Saturday, we headed over to Animal Kingdom and met our cousin, Jennifer and her boyfriend, Matthew, for some family fun!
We all had a great time together and the boys just LOVE Matthew (sorry Jenn--they love you too).

At Animal Kingdom, the boys were able to see a few characters that they've never had their picture with, Rafiki and Timon.

They played "whack-a-mole" and a few other games in Dino Land and had a great time winning prizes!

It was a quick trip to Disney, and as I always say, a nice break from reality. I can't wait for the next trip.

  1. Awesome! It would be so nice to be able to just take a little trip over to Disney - I wish we lived closer :(

But your boys looked like they had fun!

  2. What a fun trip, Charon! I can't wait to take Allie one day soon. Poor Nolan and his "issues."

  3. You know I wont disagree with you about Disney! Oh I love it! :) What a special surprise when yall got to the room! Love it!
And I'm laughing that you call spankings "Character development"... I have GOT to remember that one!

  4. I'm with Annie on the "Character Development" thing HAHA!!! I miss Disney so much and I agree.. It's definitely the happiest place on earth!!

  5. Looks like fun! We hope to go one day with our monkeys! Hope your little man is feeling much better now..
    Just Jenn~

  6. Oh my goodness. How much fun! Would you believe I have never been there?

  7. How awesome. I am going crazy waiting for spring! We are supposed to be in the 30s this week and I am so excited. Some of the snow is beginning to melt today.

Thank you for taking the time to comment! I read each and every one and treasure every word!
