They made TONS of pear relish. (disgusting, I hate the stuff, but my hubs and everyone else loves it).
It was especially sweet as my mother-in-law's daddy (our grandfather and my kids' great-grandfather) had been buried that morning.
Making Memories!

The boys look like they are having a blast! I love seeing kids spend time with grand and great-grandparents:)
ReplyDeleteI was just telling your MIL how wonderful it is that they get to do things like this with the kids! Things those boys will NEVER forget!
ReplyDeleteWhat precious memories they are making. I know I want ours to remember those special times!
ReplyDeleteOh it looks like they had so much fun. They're making memories for sure :) Again, I'm so sorry for the loss of your grandpa. I'm glad the boys got to spend time after the funeral making memories with their grandparents.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to have some of that pear relish - I'm sure it is Grandma Benton's recipe that she used to put up. Save me a jar for when I visit next time - ha!!
ReplyDeleteHey Charon, I made a comment for you over at my place. Wanted to make sure you saw it.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I love pears but have never tried it as a relish...hmmm.
Condolences on the loss of your grandpa.
