Memories with Grandaddy

My boys stayed at the river on Friday night with my in-laws (Mimi and Grandaddy).

They made TONS of pear relish. (disgusting, I hate the stuff, but my hubs and everyone else loves it).

It was especially sweet as my mother-in-law's daddy (our grandfather and my kids' great-grandfather) had been buried that morning.

Making Memories!

  4. Oh it looks like they had so much fun. They're making memories for sure :) Again, I'm so sorry for the loss of your grandpa. I'm glad the boys got to spend time after the funeral making memories with their grandparents.

  5. I would LOVE to have some of that pear relish - I'm sure it is Grandma Benton's recipe that she used to put up. Save me a jar for when I visit next time - ha!!

  6. Hey Charon, I made a comment for you over at my place. Wanted to make sure you saw it.

On another note, I love pears but have never tried it as a relish...hmmm.

Condolences on the loss of your grandpa.
