Since apparently "no one gives only cards" anymore (or so I'm told by my boys), they begged me for something like a lollipop or piece of candy to go with their Valentine's cards. I hate buying stuff like that because it's so expensive, but I did happen to see that Target had SweeTarts lollipops on sale for $2 and I had a $1 coupon so that made these sweet bags of lollipops only $1.00. Now THAT I was willing to pay for!
I treasure both my boys' teachers! They are gems! I wanted to do a little something special for them, so I decided to make brownies for them in the shape of hearts. I thought I had a heart shaped pan, but I didn't, so out came the heart-shaped cookie cutter!
I had some adorable "old-fashioned" looking Valentine's Day bags, so I put several of the brownies in a bag and tied it up for each teacher, along with a heart-note!

ReplyDeleteYour boys are right! I am a school teacher ans was amazed at all the valentines cards! My daughter got a bag of silly bandz from one child...what!My husband wants to know what happen to just a cheap $1 box of cards!!
