Softball & Cousins !

A few weeks ago I had the rare opportunity to go watch one of my cousins play softball.  It doesn't often happen that I have "extra" time on the weekends to go too many places (other than the baseball field).

This particular cousin doesn't live too far from me so the boys and I loaded up and went to watch Brookie (her name is Brooke, I've just always called her Brookie) play softball!  She's an amazing softball player !

Had to get a picture with my AMAZING family while we were there!!!

 GO BROOKE!!

After the game--Brooke and myself......(ignore my double chin, please)
What a special treat to be able to see at least one of her games!  We'll have many more!  GO BROOKIE!

Hunting Easter Eggs

Yes--I'm still on Easter!  Yes--I know it was weeks ago, but I've been SO busy the last few weeks with BASEBALL that blogging has taken a back burner!

The boys LOVED their Easter baskets and all their goodies
After we did Easter baskets and enjoyed all the little gifts, we got dressed and went to church.  Our church choir always does a cantata (all singing) on Easter and it was BEAUTIFUL this year, as it is every year.  I actually had Bible Block (kids church) so I didn't get to go in the sanctuary, but Cecil did and I got a CD of it too.  After church, we ate with hubby's grandparents and family, then came back home for a nice, quiet afternoon.

We hid some Easter eggs and played in the yard and just really enjoyed our afternoon.

We are so blessed!

Easter Baskets !! {a continuation of a tisket a tasket}

A tisket, a tasket, 6 great big Easter baskets!

I LOVE Easter!  If you've read my Easter posts before, then you know I love to put together Easter baskets!  I love going to church as a family, I love egg hunting and all the Easter traditions!   I especially love what Easter is REALLY about--HOPE and ETERNAL LIFE!

The Easter bunny showed up BIG at our house !!

Each of my boys get 3 baskets...now before you go a judgin' me....let it be known that I do NOT spend hardly any money on these baskets......I pick up things along and along for the baskets and add little things to make it look like a lot.

My FAVORITE basket this year was the baseball basket!!  Each of my boys got a pair of practice pants, Gatorade, baseball cards, a Snickers bar, jelly bean filled plastic baseball eggs, a new Red Sox shirt, and their favorite - EYEBLACK !  whoo hoo!

Because we're at the baseball field (night and day, day and night), my boys are all too familiar with eye black.  Until now, we had not been able to find the non-sticker eyeblack, but I found it just in time for Easter! YAY!
In their other basket, they got new pencils, gum, drink pouches, bubbles, ring pops, fishing worms, etc.  Nothing big or fancy--

The boys' main baskets were nothing but candy!  YUMMY!

I'd say the boys had a great Easter!!!  Stay tuned for more Easter day fun!!

A Tisket A Tasket....

I promise I'll do a post of nothing but Easter stuff, but I'm using 2 cameras these days, so I have to get all my camera cards in one spot to be able to gather all my pictures.

For now, I'll just have to tell you what I did with all this stuff!

I usually send in little gifts for the boys teachers so I got all the boxes and bags out and ready to go.....

Of course I had a list of who was getting what bag, who was getting what box, and what went in each!  I can't do anything without a list!

In case you were wondering what was in the big bag.......shirts, candy, bubbles, EASTER ITEMS!!!!

We had a wonderfully blessed Easter!  I'll share more later!

Easter Cupcakes

I made 72 of these adorable cupcakes last night.  I felt the need to tell y'all that.

They are SO easy!  Just take a star tip (I tend to use a wide star tip) and ice them, then put 2 little jelly beans on top and you've got ADORABLE "easter grass" cupcakes!

Disney {spring break}

My boys were on spring break last week and I knew I wanted to do something fun with them and yet I couldn't take too many days off work.  I decided that I would take them to our all-time FAVORITE place on earth.....DISNEY WORLD.  We can't get enough of it!  I knew it would be hot and crowded, but we just went into it with the attitude of we'll ride what we can when we can and we'll just enjoy our time here.

The boys and I left early Saturday morning so as to make the most of our 4 day trip!  (We came home Tuesday afternoon).  After checking in our hotel, we headed to Epcot so we could enjoy our favorite rides there!

Waiting for Test Track!  One of our favorite rides!
The "globe" is one of Nolan's favorite things!  The boys enjoy riding by themselves on this.....
Each afternoon, we enjoyed just hanging out at our hotel and I let the boys swim and play.  It was GLORIOUS!

Sunday we decided to go to the Magic Kingdom and our cousins, J and M joined us.  They live in the Orlando area and love to enjoy Disney frequently!

One of the boys' favorites rides at the Magic Kingdom is the People Mover.  Nolan enjoys riding this by himself too!  Carter is not quite old enough to ride by himself, but his time is coming!

Insiders tip--some of the BEST pictures of Cinderella's Castle come from the People Mover!  If you'll get your camera ready, you can get some AMAZING shots!

After the People Mover came Buzz Lightyear!  Another family favorite!

Would you believe in ALL the times we've been to Disney, neither of my boys have been called on to drive the boats on the Jungle Cruise?!?!?!?.  To Nolan's absolute delight, he was called on to "steer" the Jungle Cruise boat on this trip!!

This picture is SO blurry, but he turned around for just a second --you can see the smile on his face though!

Parades are a MUST at Disney!

Our next few days were spent at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom!  I won't bore you with all those pictures, but suffice to say we had a BLAST!

Here's to another great DISNEY trip!  Hmm....I wonder when we can go back????

Organization: Pantry

You can imagine with two boys in the house my pantry NEEDS to be well stocked (and restocked often).  I am extremely blessed with not one, but two pantries but I hate it when my main pantry is a mess!

I try to keep the items grouped together (i.e. chips in one section, cans in another) and I try and use what organizing products I already have (baskets, bowls, etc.)

I stacked boxes and got rid of half empty ones too!  (Do your boys put almost empty boxes back in the pantry?  MINE DO)
Here is an example of putting like with like and using baskets!  All my breakfast foods go on one shelf, snacks on another, etc.  My brother has a hay-day with my pantry whenever he comes over!  He'll turn my cans around and move boxes just to make me crazy!
How do you arrange your pantry?
